The Unreachable Goals of a MomBlogger

I have a new goal – and that’s to write something for this blog every day. Whether it’s just to post a video, make a comment on parenting in general, a poem, a rant – whatever it is, I should put it down in blog form. It’s incredibly relaxing and cathartic to get your thoughts out into the world. My hope is that my own insights into this “parenting gig” will help others, and at the same time provide some much needed stress relief and therapy for myself.

So for today, I’m putting this into writing. I will be posting something every day. EVERY single day. And why not? There are tons of things I do every day. I wake up the baby every day. I sing her songs every day. I put her to bed every day. I tickle her every day. She laughs usually at least once a day, and those are my favorite times of the day. The sounds of her giggles propel me to do the other, not so pleasant tasks every day. I clean up after the dogs, I clean up after the baby has taken a mammoth-sized dump in her pants. I listen to her cry when she’s over tired and for some reason that keeps her from sleeping. I still haven’t figured that one out.

These things that are done every day, we can’t do without. So, I’m adding something positive to my already busy-ass repertoire of stuff to do. I, the Other Mother Jenny, vow to write something every day.

See you tomorrow.

P.S. – If you’re wondering why there’s a licking bat for my featured image, well, I just thought it was cute. You’re going to have to deal with that.
